Greeting
Welcome to the International Workshop of Southeast Asia Research-based Network on Climate Change Adaptation Science (SARNCCAS)! It will be held online this year, the same as last year. Utilizing the network we have built over the past three years, we will create a polyphonic place where various voices come together.
This year, we will start with presentations by students from Ibaraki University Junior High School, followed by poster sessions by university students, graduate students, and young researchers; oral presentations by researchers; and a symposium to commemorate the publication. Springer will be publishing a book called “Sharing interlocal adaptation lessons: Climate Change Adaptations and Development in East and Southeast Asia” written by members who have participated in our network. Then, we will frame all of these as workshops and collaborate with the greater scientific community by posting comments and opinions on “sticky notes” in places provided on the Web. We are looking forward to seeing how it will develop from there.
The overall theme is “Beyond Interlocal Lessons Learnt on Climate Change: Mapping, Fertilizing and Social Permeating”, and we aim to encourage and develop discussions on next steps in interlocal learning. The impact of COVID-19 will continue, but we will try to get the most out of our online tools. We look forward to seeing you online!
